Absolute Bagels: Discover New York's Best Bagels with Delicious Variety

Right next to my apartment They were closed for about a year and recently reopened under new ownership, the taste and the texture feel different now, Anyway I still miss those days of standing in a long line just to get a fresh bagel So happy to see this spot back in our neighborhood Welcome back

Pretty good bagels! I wasn't around for the incident that closed the original absolute bagels, but the new place is really nice. Great interior design, fast service, good variety of options. I got the plain bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. To note, I do like my bagel with very light cream cheese, so the amount they gave was way too much for me. But, the bagel itself was pillowy soft on the inside with a nice crunch that holds its shape on the outside. Overall, very good, and I'd definitely come back to try their other varieties.

Amazing bagels! Had the salmon salad custom one and a standard egg and bacon. Loved both. There's a line sometimes and almost no place to eat inside depending on the time.

The bagels and long lines are back! The new iteration of this UWS neighborhood treasure is serving up a pretty good bagel. Service is fast. We ordered 5 kinds and all were chewy on the inside. Outer crustiness varied significantly with poppy having the best crust. Probably just got left in the oven the longest on this busy Saturday morning. They didn’t quite get our bagel order right despite writing it down—part of their new ordering process—and they only got one of our two cream cheese orders right. We still enjoyed them and hope the kinks are worked out soon!

Extremely nice service and much better quality than I've had. Probably the best overall texture in a bagel and easily the top of my list. 10/10 would recommend. p.s. they take card now and 2 free bagels per dozen

accepts cash and card! card costs a little extra. super fluffy and chewy. not a ton of bagel sandwich options beyond flavored cream cheese, egg, salmon. many tofu cream cheese options. I can see why these are considered the best bagels in UWS, and some of the better options in nyc. super fluffy interior, chewy exterior, delicious untoasted and baked in-house. no seating area beyond a little high window counter table you can stand at.

Came here during the soft re-opening (12/29-12/31/25) Everything was free during this period, something you obviously rarely see. I ordered the Bacon, Egg & Chz on an everything bagel. I hadn’t frequented Absolute prior to its closing so I can’t compare. Is it the best bagel in NYC? No. Is it the best bagel I’ve had on the UWS? Absolutely. The owners were incredibly friendly & it seems the prices will be more than fair. If you’re in the area for breakfast, it’s definitely a go to. Welcome back.

If you’re serious about bagels, this is the spot. All of their bagels are freshly made and you can absolutely taste the difference — perfectly soft inside with that classic crisp exterior. They also have an awesome selection of cream cheese spreads in all kinds of flavors, so there’s something for every mood (sweet, savory, seasonal — you name it). Yes, there’s usually a long line, but don’t let that scare you. It moves quickly and is totally worth the wait. Solid, no-frills bagel perfection. I’ll definitely be back.
